Move over, Ms L!

Hi all, wondering why you are looking at this jumbled up page? This is due to the fact that Facebook didn't like our url since it starts with wog, so we have been forced to move the blog. This was some time ago, and we have placed a script which would automatically send you to our new location. Obviously, this hasn't worked for all of you, since we have just finished moderating some of your comments which appeared on this site recently, and not on our new (and improved!) site. The Beatles Gear 2015 edition

Andy Babiuk's reference book about the Beatles' instruments, 2015 edition.
Andy Babiuk has released his new book Beatles Gear: The Ultimate Edition.

The new must-have 512 page book is double the size of the original with over 650 additional new photos including many never before published images of the Beatles with their gear. Lots of new finds and stories! This book is the ultimate guide to all the gear used by the Beatles, and details exactly which guitars, drums, amplifiers, and keyboards the Fab Four used throughout their career, from the Quarry Men to the dissolution of the Beatles in 1970.

In conjunction with the upcoming Ringo Starr & Barbara Bach auction, Julien's Auctions invites you to a book signing and presentation that Andy Babiuk, will be doing for his new must have book "Beatles Gear, The Ultimate Edition" tomorrow, December 2nd, 2015 at Julien's Beverly Hills showroom.

Andy will be doing an audio visual presentation about the new book and focusing on the history of Ringo's very first Beatles Ludwig drum kit and also John Lennon's Rickenbacker 325/1996 guitar. Both instruments will be on display.

The current issue of Guitar Player magazine features a look at what's new in this edition of the book.

I bought the first edition in 2003 and I have to say it is one of my favourite Beatles books. If this is significantly more informative than the first edition I may well put it on my Christmas list. In any case this is an aspect of Beatles history that is gathering momentum and interest. Stories like the 'missing' Gibson SG, the legend of Ringo owned guitars (which turned out to be true), the reappearance of John's (or really George's) Gibson Jumbo, and the Country Gent which ended up smashed on the A5 (I think), or the whereabouts of a number of George's guitars is truly fascinating.

Second praise for a truly stunning book (each revision!) offering some cool discovery, informative history, photos, catalog references, documents & copies of music shop bill of sales. Andy is a very nice person to talk with, great stories on his fact checking, hunting down the details! Beautiful work, Andy!
