UK EMI official release dates in the 1960s were always on a Friday. If you look at the official release date for any other UK EMI Beatles record (single, EP or LP)in the 1960s, you'll find that the date was always a Friday. The only exception was the 'From Me To You' single which was released Thursday 11 April 1963 because the following day, Friday the 12th, was Good Friday that year. As far as I know, Friday 2 June 1967 was not a public holiday in the UK, so why did the official release date move from a Friday to Thursday for 'Sgt Pepper'?George Armstronghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12895930249740414683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6695919221523064440.post-40505535393974471792017-06-02T23:55:37.015+02:002017-06-02T23:55:37.015+02:00I am one of the people who bought the album on May...I am one of the people who bought the album on May 25th.Lizzie Bravohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07219518308643161665noreply@blogger.com
