That's why Paul launched the Flaming Pie...
That's a suspiciously long delay. I wonder how much of that delay is actaully due to the coronavirus and how much might be due to internal bickering over the content of the film.
Either way, despite the huge amount of footage available I'm sadly expecting a short 80 minute feature by the time everybody concerned has tinkered with it.
This is a terrible shame. Original Beatles fans, who arguably are those who would be most keen to see this film, are already in their mid 70s. It goes without saying that many of them simply will not live long enough to enjoy it, not to mention London Town, Back To The Egg, Cold Cuts etc
Maybe it s time to listen to " the art of dying" from all things must pass for cheer up lol
It must be in honour of the original delays to get the Let It Be film out ... :D
They didn’t celebrate may 1970 either, such a shame
If you try to work out when all of those people in their mid-70s will be able and happy to visit cinemas across multiple countries, not to mention when the backlog of postponed releases will be cleared, August 2021 starts to look optimistic.
I'm surprised the cinema release is that important to them, though. I'd have thought the physical media releases would bring in far more money.
Apple sat on its laurels for decades. When will SHEA come out? When all who attended have died? Crazy. Actually this two LIB and SHEA is what really are missing from the shelves. And then we just hope Mark will be able to finish his volumes in this decade....Well we just have to carry on and wait it out.
Shea loves you yeah yeah yeh ! that joke could make me almost die...lol
Yes, the constant tease of LIB being released.....first talked about 5-6 years ago. The release in the doldrums of August 2021 should make it really successful (not). The whole tease is getting old...like the rest of us.
Did this announcement surprise me ? NO !! , and as for Shea , I totally agree, they showed it in theater with the Ron Howard film , so whats keeping Apple from issuing it out on hard disc or digital download ?? , Maybe we'll be shocked because the 55th anniversary of Shea is right around the corner and it would be a beautiful thing to get it out !, but I doubt they'll ever do it
It sure would be nice to get the Shea Stadium concert on Blu-ray.
And if they did it right, it would include both audio soundtracks: the live one plus the one re-recorded in the studio as separate audio streams.
