Move over, Ms L!

Hi all, wondering why you are looking at this jumbled up page? This is due to the fact that Facebook didn't like our url since it starts with wog, so we have been forced to move the blog. This was some time ago, and we have placed a script which would automatically send you to our new location. Obviously, this hasn't worked for all of you, since we have just finished moderating some of your comments which appeared on this site recently, and not on our new (and improved!) site. So what we're saying is head on over to our new site, and update your bookmarks!

Profile

Roger Stormo was born on what could have been Stuart Sutcliffe's 22 birthday in 1962. A member of the norwegian Beatles Fan Club Norwegian Wood since 1980, he became the editor of their fanzine as well as president of the fan club for most of the 90's. Stepping down from that position in 1997, he became webmaster for the "Norwegian Wood" website. In 1994 Roger co-authored with Knut Uller the publication The Beatles I Norge ("The Beatles In Norway"), a discography of Beatles records pressed in Norway. Roger has remained a member of the editorial staff for the fanzine Norwegian Wood, where he continues to write articles in norwegian, as well as designing the fanzine's cover pages. He has met and interviewed among others Paul McCartney, Cynthia Lennon, Julia Baird, Allen Williams, Sam Leach, Pete Best, Alistair Taylor and Tony Sheridan. In 2004, Roger played the washboard on stage with the original Quarrymen and in 2006 he played the congas on stage at the Indra Club in Grosse Freihet, Hamburg with a local jazz band. Roger has also been involved in the recording of a song (on backing vocals) at the no.2 studio in Abbey Road. A self-employed website designer, Roger has a son, two budgerigars and a girlfriend.
